The School Board of Lake County
As the Lake County School Board (LCSB) evaluated the needs and improvements necessary to accommodate the constant influx of new students, the aged and relict cafeteria on Cypress Ridge Elementary School’s campus was deemed fit to receive a facelift. Since 2008, SSMC has partnered with LCSB in its endeavors to constantly improve properties under its ownership.
Working with the general contractor, Wharton-Smith Construction Group, Inc., our Construction Support division provided on-call surveying services to facilitate this $5 million dollar build’s progress and minimize delays. As some of the first field assets on site, SSMC crews recovered and/or reset project control at the onset of the build as well as property corners. Additionally, our field team members provided the layout of the new cafeteria and all associated improvements collected finished floor elevations and final as-builts of the site upon completion of construction.

“I had the pleasure of working with a couple of your employees over the past couple weeks. James Murphy and Beau Boyles; very professional and “can do” attitudes. They worked well with the crew from PSI and the task was completed one day ahead of schedule with no underground utilities damaged.”
