This project performed a citywide Geographic Information System (GIS) asset inventory within the City of Valparaiso for potable water distribution, wastewater collection, and stormwater management facilities.
SSMC provided GIS services using the city’s existing CAD data, city records, and custom street-level panoramic imagery collected using SSMC’s Mobile Mapping data collection vehicle.
The combination of the Mobile Mapping System and the AGOL GIS service deliverable allowed SSMC to provide the city with a more affordable GIS asset inventory that is more accessible to city staff. SSMC’s experience and expertise with Esri’s ArcGIS Online service allowed us to provide future services to the City of Valparaiso to help them manage and maintain their GIS asset inventory.
