Pinellas Park
The Pinellas Park Water Management District (PPWMD) was founded in 1976 and is primarily responsible for managing Pinellas County’s stormwater drainage system. Under its jurisdiction lie five distinct drainage basins that require constant management for proper stormwater capacity, ecological safety, and general maintenance.
SSMC’s relationship with PPWMD started in 2011, and we have provided as-needed Surveying and Mapping services with the district since. As part of the ongoing efforts to maintain proper channel profiles, improvements for stormwater capacity and flow, and describing drainage easements. In addition, the SSMC team partners closely with the district’s personnel to provide boundary surveys and topographic surveys, hydrographic surveys, tree surveys, and right-of-way mapping.
